We service what we sell. All our new bikes come with three free tune-ups, which focus on preventative maintenance to reduce long-term maintenance costs and to enhance the use and enjoyment of your bicycle.
We also service what our competition sells. We are a full-service repair shop and are happy to work on most any bicycle. We provide free estimates and advice on maintenance and repairs as well as on size and fitting of bicycles and bike safety gear. We also provide free estimates on private used bike sales, so you know going in what you’ll need to do to get a bike working well for you.
If you already have a bike, and are looking at getting a different one from us, we also take trade ins. We provide estimates of trade-in value for free, and once a bike is traded in it becomes one of our used bikes after we give it a complete tune up.
As part of our complete tune up, one of our mechanics goes over everything on your bicycle. We tighten and adjust it and make sure it is working properly and safely. A tune up covers everything seen at right. Parts replacement or complete rebuilds are not covered, but a yearly tune up to maintain your bike can keep repair costs down and save you hundreds of dollars in the long run.
Tune-ups are available for every brand of bicycle, and cost $59.99. Surcharges can apply for things such as worn-out parts, but we have a no-surprises policy: if we run into anything unexpected, we stop everything and contact you so that you can either approve the extra work, or pick up the bike and (generally) owe us nothing.
Lifetime Tune-Up packages are also available. A Lifetime Tune-Up package provides an annual tune-up on a given bicycle for as long as the package-holder owns it. Lifetime tune-ups cost $300 on bicycles not sold by Goldstream Bicycles, but are available for only $99.99 if bought with the bike.
