Grant – Head Mechanic
Grant is the founding owner of Goldstream Bicycles. He joined the bike industry about 30 years ago, working in shops both in Victoria and the Lower Mainland. He opened Goldstream Bicycles in Langford in 1989 and has successfully steered it through good times and bad, leaving happy customers in his wake. He’s still very involved in every aspect of the business from repairs, to customer service, to paperwork. Over 40 years of cycling, Grant’s nearly done it all: touring, road, cross-country mountain biking, commuting to work, and even a dirt-jump or two. Grant is Goldstream’s resident cross-country mountain biking expert. His current ride is a lovingly-restored 1990s Kona Hei Hei, one of the 14 bikes in his stable.

Steven – Store Manager
Steven first became a customer of Goldstream Bicycles in 1997, which quickly became the only place he shopped for bike supplies. It wasn’t until 8 years later that he joined the staff team. He’s often the guy out front, almost always the person doing the ordering (so gets the credit when what you want is in stock, and the blame when it’s not), and the person to go to for a special order. Every year he goes to ExpoCycle, Canada’s big bicycle trade show in Montreal, to observe all the latest industry trends and to see what’s available from all the suppliers, and to make sure we’re staying on top of the best available offerings for our customers. Steven’s a lifelong bike commuter, having never owned a car, and is Goldstream’s go-to person for commuting advice. His other cycling passion is touring, his longest trip being a 12-day adventure from Victoria to Edmonton over 1600KM, and he has lots of experience to offer on this too. He currently divides his time between a Devinci Sydney performance hybrid (with Profile CBX triathlon bar) for commuting and touring, and a Kona Kikapu Deluxe for riding at Hartland.
